As I was leaving work last night, my friend Chuck called me and told me that Johnny Weir was going to be at the place where he works. So, of course, I had to put on something fabulous and get my ass to WeHo. Now, about a week or so ago I decided that if I ever met the fabulous Johnny Weir, I was going to have him sign my History of Russia book from college because he loves everything Russian & I'm quite a fan of Russian history myself. Well I totally made that ish happen.

He signed it in both English and Russian:

Then we chatted for a bit, posed for a picture and I mentioned that I followed him on Twitter. He said he didn't know how to reply to people. So I started teaching Twitter 101 to freaking Johnny Weir (with an actual followup on Twitter as well).

He is so freaking awesome, nice, sincere and truly has a heart of gold with regard to his fans. I don't get starstruck often, but I was truly fascinated by him.

Yeah...........I dunno how he'd translate Weir into Russian. I have an idea though. Galina needs to teach him that. I don't have the Cyrillic alphabet but it would be something like uooeer (You-eer).
