Schizophrenic Ipod

Some have asked what I listen to for my workouts and how I can spend that much time in the freaking gym and keep going. For the latter part, I just "train like an athlete". It's a lot easier to do if you're a former athlete like myself because you know what you once did & you usually have that competitive spirit still locked away deep inside. Mine is a little pyscho because I regularly played tennis with guys, dated & sometimes trained with football & soccer players and well, I'm sometimes a little too aggressive for my own good. By the way, would just LOVE to thank Nike for ganking that from me for their whole women's training thing. I've been using that mantra for like the past couple years. I really gotta start copyrighting my statements or something. If Paris Hilton can with "That's Hot!", why can't I?

On to the first part, though, the music. It's so mixed up that I never get bored while doing an hour on the elliptical/treadmill/bike & then usually another hour on weights & then sometimes some more cardio, then stretching. It's seriously schizophrenic, though. It's all over the damn place. Of course when you have siblings who are WAY older than you, your mom is constantly playing music while you're growing up as well & add in a few musically-inclined guys in your life and you're left with this vast aural thumbprint that stays with you. It means I listen to pretty much everything & I'm not just one of those people who says it just so people don't judge their musical tastes. I really really really do enjoy electronica dance for serious cardio though or angry "I will kick your ass and make you eat your own face" rock music. Today, for example, just some of the artists:

-New Kids on the Block
-Bobby Brown
-Ace of Base
-Rush
-Metallica (and i'm talking old school "Ride the Lightning"...Metallica isn't shit since they had to be whiny bitches about Napster)
-Gwen Stefani
-Garth Brooks
-Britney Spears
-Jimi Hendrix
-50 Cent
-Aerosmith
-ABBA
-Oasis
-Daniel Bedingfield
-Duran Duran
-PM Dawn
-David Guetta

People do the album cover scroll on my Iphone and then they know for sure that I'm totes ADD.
